Stepping Up To The Challenge Of Law In The Public Interest
The Massachusetts Legal Assistance for Self-Sufficiency Program, an AmeriCorps project, is uniquely designed for those individuals who are ready to:
- Gain first-hand exposure and experience working in a legal aid organization under the supervision of a practicing attorney;
- Engage in legal work that has a direct impact on the quality of people’s lives;
- Apply their talents and skills to help underserved, low-income people;
- Take the next step towards a career in public service;
- Work in an environment that promotes diversity and intercultural understanding;
- Engage others to serve as volunteers.
